firefighters save two people

Spezzano Albanese (CS) 20 April 2024 – The firefighters of the Cosenza Command, with the support of the Castrovillari and Rende detachments and the Corigliano Rossano ladder truck, intervened this afternoon, around 2.30 pm, in via Mortati in Spezzano Albanese due to a fire in a warehouse located on the ground floor of a two-level building and saved two people.

Two people saved by firefighters

Due to the fire and the thick smoke that had developed, two people who were in the apartment above the warehouse were stuck inside. The firefighters, using the ladder truck, managed to rescue them from the balcony.

Fire controlled and stable

The intervention of the firefighters made it possible to completely tame the flames, preventing them from spreading to adjacent rooms, and to make the site safe. Investigations are underway to determine the origin of the fire, at the moment the most probable hypothesis is accidental.

Access to the warehouse and the apartment is prohibited

Access to the warehouse and the apartment above it was temporarily blocked as a precaution, pending further technical checks and the restoration of normal safety conditions. Fortunately, no injuries were reported to any person.
