Good results for the Reggio Emilia boxers engaged in recent days in Barge (Cuneo) and Piacenza, invited by local gyms to play ordinary matches for the Fpi ranking. It was a real challenge faced by sixteen-year-old Shota Natsarashvili, who found himself facing a two-meter giant (Ilyass Boulal) in the youth 70 kg category. But the hammer of Reggiana Boxe began its game in the second round. He approached and struck almost exclusively on the trunk, taking his opponent’s breath away. The last two rounds were hell for Boulal, forced to tie up and lower his head continuously, until the referee’s decisive disqualification.
Denis Haidarmataj, a 75 kg junior, instead made a mistake at the start by starting slow. But from the second half he challenged Jurgen Neli’s defense, bringing home many more incisive actions and winning the match. A little disappointed with the result, but certainly not with the performance, the champion Enrico Bezzi, who challenged the phenomenon Fabio Reitano in his home ring, this year a finalist in the Italian championships where he was beaten by Giacomo Giannotti from Reggio Emilia. Bezzi had a wonderful match, but unfavorable refereeing penalized him: defeated but with honour.
The matches staged in Piacenza were also interesting. Giorgio Tamelli lost on points, as did Filippo Iandolo. Mihail Dimitriu instead achieved a victory on points. Dario Campanile weakened his opponent in just two rounds with an excellent choice of timing and the corner was forced to be suspended as a precaution. And Giuseppe Usai achieved the final satisfaction for Reggiana Boxe: the 67 kg coached by Michael Galli and Valentino Manca won by disqualification in the 2nd round after 3 official warnings for misconduct.
