Another death at work. It happened on Friday, April 19, just before 1pm in Montepulciano, in the Tre Berte area, in the Elle Emme company who makes horse boxes and iron work.
A young man of 23 years old, Manuel Cavannadied while he was working on a trailer: the young man, who worked for an external company, was hit in the chest by an iron tube.
Manuel Cavanna was a professional mechanic, resident in Le Chianacce, a hamlet of Cortona towards the border with Montepulciano.
According to a very first version, the 23-year-old he was working on a trailer when a metal bar slipped hitting him in the chest.
On site were the 118 of the South East Tuscany Local Health Authority, the Nottola ambulance, the Pegaso air ambulance, the Chianciano Terme public assistance ambulance, the fire brigade, the police forces and the Pisll staff (hygiene prevention and safety in the workplace).
The magistrate on duty was also on site for the first checks.
Who was Manuel Cavanna
Manuel Cavanna, 23 years old, was from Le Chianacce (Cortona), had attended middle school in Ponteggio del Loto, then the hotel school and had found a job. Everyone describes it as a good guy and a great mechanic and for this reason he had been called by the Montepulciano company.
Motocross and fishing enthusiastleaves behind his father Francesco, his mother Katia and his sister Chiara, slightly older than him, who had recently married and had given him a nephew.
The news reached the town bar and soon spread to everyone’s dismay and pain.
