Guido, Marco, Leo, Gaelle and Mattia are, in order of age, the five children of Manfredi Alicante, a selfish and narcissistic father who has just taken his own life. Upon opening his will, the five children discover that they also have a sister, Luisa. The six argue among themselves, some also because of ancient grievances, and finding an agreement on how to manage the oyster farm that they have collectively inherited, and which their father has transformed into a utopian pearl farm, is not easy. There will be discussions and reconciliations, understandings and hostilities in the setting of Bordeaux, the last residence of the father and his third French wife.

Six brotherswritten by Luca Infascelli and Simone Godano and directed by Godano himself, starts from a good premise and touches on an eminently cinematic theme, namely the complexity of the relationship between brothers and sisters, especially within an extended family.

If on the one hand it is fun to observe the interactions of a close-knit cast of skilled and well-directed actors, on the other hand there is a lack of greater courage in exposing the pettiness and contradictions that are part of human nature, particularly in within family dynamics.
