The Valle Seriana Mountain Community has joined the project “Off: the territories that prevent fires” promoted by WWF Italy. As part of the initiative, the seminar was organized on Saturday 20 April, scheduled from 9.30 to 12.30, in the spaces of the “Orphan House” and the pine forest. We will begin with a theoretical introduction by Luca Tonarelli, director of the forest fire prevention center of the Tuscany region. Afterwards, in the pine forest, it is expected a practical demonstration in the field during which expert operators will show the main techniques to be adopted to prevent forest fires, in particular how to reuse waste wood material and alternative practices to the use of fire.
