The Phlegraean neighborhoods under the crossfire of the clans: ambush in Bagnoli

First Fuorigrotta, now Bagnoli. It seems that the neighborhoods of the western outskirts of Naples find themselves under the crossfire of rival clans.

As Fanpage reports, last night a shooting occurred in Viale Campi Flegrei during which a 17-year-old was injured. A scooter came running, stopped and the bullets started immediately afterwards. The real target of the ambush was a group of young people who were on the street, near a bar.

The dynamics are yet to be reconstructed, but it seems that it was an ambush.

The injured young man, who is not involved in Camorra dynamics, was taken to the emergency room of the San Paolo hospital; his condition is not serious. The episode could be linked to the shooting that took place in Piazza Italia at the beginning of April, when a woman was accidentally injured.

The State Police is investigating the incident. At the moment all the hypotheses are open, but those considered most likely lead to conflicts between the clans of the Phlegraean area, which would have worsened after the arrest of Vitale Troncone and his son Giuseppe, considered by the investigators to be at the top of the Fuorigrotta clan who bears their surname. After the dismantling of the criminal group, other groups attempted to make space for themselves in the neighborhood.
