Tomorrow meeting on the spirituality of Don Dante Bernini, at the Palazzo dei Papi

VITERBO – An important conference on the Spirituality of Msgr. will be held tomorrow, Saturday 20 April, at the Palazzo dei Papi, at 4.15 pm. Dante Bernini, pastor in the spirit of Vatican II. The event will take place in the prestigious setting of the Palace of the Popes, in the presence of numerous civil and religious authorities.

The journalist Wanda Cherubini, president of Ucsi of Viterbo, will moderate the meeting. We will remember Msgr. Dante Bernini, who died five years ago, on 27 September 2019, at the age of 97, with the title of the oldest bishop in Italy. He was a professor of physics and mathematics, rector of the La Quercia regional seminary, bishop of Albano and Segni, vice president of the Commission of the Episcopal Conferences of the European Community and president of the CEI Commission for Justice and Peace.
On 13 April 2015, on the anniversary of the promulgation of the encyclical Pacem in Terris, a “Day for Peace” was held in his honor in Viterbo.
But the titles that count are those of the soul and of the immense good sown during his apostolate. His students, today priests and parish priests not only of Viterbo, owe him precious teachings and spiritual advice, especially in the years of the Second Vatican Council of which Don Dante was an attentive witness.
Among the illustrious speakers there will be the Cardinal FRANCESCO MONTERISI His Eminence the Cardinal FERNANDO FILONI, the bishop of Viterbo, Monsignor ORAZIO FRANCESCO PIAZZAthe Bishop of Albano, Mons. VINCENZO LIVEthe professor, CIRO ROMANOrector of the Montemurro D’Ippolito University, prof. DON DARIO VITALIof the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome, Don GIANNI CARPARELLIThe prof. AURELIO RIZZACASA.
The meeting will start with the screening of the video “Il giorno otti”, text by Don Gianni Carparelli and music by Marco Sensi.
This will then be followed by the speech of Cardinal Francesco Monterisi, archpriest emeritus of San Paolo Fuori le Mura, dean of the Montemurro D’Ippolito University. It will then be the prof’s turn. Don Dario Vitali, of the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome, ordained priest by Don Dante, who will tell us about his teacher, “Don Dante in the spirit of Vatican II”.

Don Gianni Carparelli will present the book “Don Dante, father, master and light”. The book will be available in the room and the proceeds from sales will go to support Don Dante’s missions.
Together with Don Gianni there will be prof. Aurelio Rizzacasa, professor of Ethics and philosophy at the University of Arezzo, who was a student of Don Dante and will talk about some experiences.
After the screening of a video with the latest reflections of Don Dante, the Bishop of Viterbo Orazio Francesco Piazza will take the floor to follow with the greeting address of the prof. Ciro Romano, rector of the Montemurro-D’Ippolito University. This will be followed by the delivery, by the rector, of the diploma of nomination in memoriam to the member of the honor committee of the Montemurro D’Ippolito university for his Excellency Don Dante Bernini.
The meeting will end with the spiritual reflection and final prayer led by the very distinguished Cardinal FERNANDO FILONI, great master of the equestrian order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.
