Alcohol Prevention Day: the services of Ulss 3 Serenissima and a meeting at the Angelo

Present were the operators of organizations that address the well-being of the population with an eye to women

Tuesday 23 April Ulss 3 Serenissima will be activated with a specific initiative at the Angelo hospital in Mestre on the occasion of Alcohol Prevention Day to shine a spotlight on the negative consequences of what must not become an unregulated habit. A meeting aimed at those who wish to delve deeper into the phenomenon of consumption of alcoholic beverages in the territory of Ulss 3 Serenissima and the existing territorial alcohol programs. Obviously, operators from public and private entities responsible for the well-being of the population and agencies of the Territorial Alcohol Network will participate.. To participate in the event – it will be possible to accommodate 60 registrations – send an email by Monday 22 April to the organizational secretariat at [email protected], indicating your name, institution to which you belong and reference email.

“Recent studies – underlines Massimo Zuin, Director of Social and Health Services – demonstrate an increase in alcohol consumption in the female population, even among young and very young women. And also for this reason the territorial alcohol network is activated for a day of in-depth analysis and data analysis, to share and disseminate an updated framework, while continuing to carry out activities aimed at reflecting on these
issues, also through awareness and information initiatives aimed at specific targets and the local community, public and private institutions, associations and citizens”.
“This year, Alcohol Prevention Day – explains Zuin – intends to focus attention in particular on the female population. We will ask ourselves together how alcohol consumption can influence the well-being of women, from a physical, psychological, work and social point of view.; and this work comes alongside the numerous other initiatives implemented by Ulss 3 Serenissima to protect women, always networking with other subjects who can contribute to building a real network of attention and accompaniment. The day will therefore also be an opportunity to reflect together on issues relating to women’s well-being, to present the Network’s initiatives in favor of women, but also to collect proposals, ideas, suggestions to increasingly broaden the range of action, with the aim of continuing to support the protection of health and the promotion of healthy lifestyles”.
