The first session has been called for tomorrow, Friday 19 April, and will be chaired by the president of the Regional Council, until the election of the new president of Cal.

The president of the Lazio Regional Council has convened the Assembly of the Council of Local Autonomies (Cal) for 19 April 2024 at 10.30 am in the Council Chamber of the Lazio Regional Council, for the installation session and the election of the members of the Bureau : president, two vice presidents and three secretarial advisors. At the end of the voting operations, the agenda includes the Communications from the President of the Council of Local Authorities.

The president of the Regional Council will preside over the Cal installation session until the election of the new president, chosen from among the 40 members of Cal and elected by secret ballot with an absolute majority of the members. The two vice-presidents and the three secretarial councilors are elected by secret ballot, with separate votes, in each of which each councilor votes for only one name. In the event of a tie in votes, the youngest candidate is elected. A balanced presence of both genders is guaranteed in the Bureau, as well as the representation of non-capital municipalities (article 5, paragraph 3, of regional law no. 1/2007).
