AMANTEA (CS) – A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 58 year old, Salvatore Bonavita, died this evening along State Road 18 in Amantea on the Tyrrhenian coast near Cosenza. The man was on board a scooter, a Yamaha T Max 500, when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of the vehicle and ended up having a violent impact. into a car coming from the opposite direction. The accident happened around 8.30pm near Campora San Giovanni. The 58-year-old, resident in Amantea, was thrown from the vehicle after the collision and ended up disastrously on the asphalt.
Relief was immediate but unfortunately useless also thrown by other motorists and people who were in the area: the man would have died instantly. It is not excluded that theaccident could also have been caused by the conditions of the asphalt, made slimy by the rain that is falling across the entire area at the moment. The investigations by the police will clarify the dynamics. The police from the local station arrived on the scene.
