Cristiano Ronaldo won the civil case against Juventus, but the court recognized contributory negligence between the parties. In recent days, the Bianconeri have shown certainty and trust regarding the decisions of the Arbitration Panel. Instead, today there was a surprise, with the Arbitration Panel subverting what was expected by the parties.

Thus Juventus will owe 9.8 million euros to the Portuguese, a figure which however will be re-evaluated by the interests. Therefore Ronaldo’s request was accepted, legally supported by his pool of lawyers and by the criminal lawyer Salvatore Pino, who worked hard on the case.

“The Arbitration Panel, definitively ruling, rejecting or absorbing any other question, request and exception, including preliminary investigation of the parties, 1) in acceptance of the request formulated “in the extreme alternative” by Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro, ascertains the pre-contractual liability of the defendant for the reasons set out in the narrative and, consequently, considering the contributory negligence attributable to the actor, condemns Juventus FCSpA to pay Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro the sum of Euro 9,774,166.66, with the revaluation from the day of the amount due and the legal interest from the request to the balance on the annually revalued sum; 2) fully compensates the defense costs between the parties, in addition to the costs of the Arbitration Panel as already paid in the orders issued during the proceedings, and jointly borne by them at the rate, in internal relations only, of 50% each. Thus decided by majority, with the dissent of the referee prof. adv. Roberto Sacchi, in the referees’ personal conference in Milan, on the dates of 15 February 2024, 22 February 2024, 7 March 2024 and 10 April 2024″.
