filming of the project with Laura Morante has begun

Play Entertainment is ready to film its next ambitious project, Death divides us (original title Death Do Us Part). Cinematic retelling of the popular tale Death and the girl.

A story with comic tones and dark atmospheres, for a costume opera set in medieval Italy during the first pandemic of the Black Death, in which the story of a supernatural love is mixed together with legend, folklore and reality. Music will play an important role in the film, although it is not a traditional musical.

Death divides us places the events in 14th century Europe. The protagonist is Giulia, young and rebellious in the small and superstitious village of San Grobiano, who dreams of becoming a doctor, even if the society of the time is not ready to assign her this role. The epidemic is an opportunity to demonstrate its value to the world. Thanks to her work as a healer, Giulia discovers that she can see and interact with Death himself, with whom she ends up falling in love, even though she will give up everything to save her village.
