CAORLE – An autopsy has been arranged to clarify the death of Nicolas Ridolfo, the 29-year-old originally from San Stino di Livenza found dying under his father’s home in Caorle. The Pordenone Prosecutor’s Office has ordered new investigations to shed light on death of the young man who was found by his father on Sunday evening in desperate conditions by car.

What killed Nicolas Ridolfo?

The investigators have asked the medical examiner Antonello Cirnelli to be part of the team working on the case: the professional will have to understand whether Nicolas died for a sudden heart attack or whether death occurred due to some substance. For this it will be necessary toautopsy examination already arranged for tomorrow, at 4pm, in the morgue of the Portogruaro hospital. At the same time, samples of liquids and tissue will be taken and sent to the laboratory. Elements that will allow us to discover whether Nicolas has taken any substance that could have been fatal. At the moment nothing is left to chance, though violent death seems to be ruled out.

Malaise and death

On Sunday Nicolas had spent the day in San Donà with his father in San Donà di Piave. On the way back to Caorle, the young man began to accuse a malaise. When they arrived at his father’s house, in via Giovanni da Pordenone in Caorle, the 29-year-old remained in the car. Shortly afterwards, when his parent did not see him go into the house, he went to check on his condition, finding him still in the passenger compartment of the car in desperate conditions. The call to 118 allowed the arrival of the health workers from the Caorle first aid point who were arriving from Portogruaro. Colleagues from Jesolo also arrived with them a little later with a doctor. Nicolas Ridolfi, in cardiac arrest, was intubated and then urgently transferred to Portogruaro hospital, where he unfortunately died. Nicolas, after studying at Don Bosco in San Donà, began working in the catering field. From assistant chef to pizza chef, the young man, originally from La Salute di Livenza, a hamlet of San Stino, had moved between the sea and the mountains for the various seasons, managing to be appreciated for his qualities in the kitchen. Many messages of condolence and shock over Nicolas’ death were published on his social profile.
