Two and a half years have passed since the death of Dora Lagreca, who fell from the fourth floor of a building in Potenza. Her sister Michela remembered her in an interview: “She would never have taken her own life, her boyfriend says what happened that night”

Two and a half years have passed since the death of Dora Lagreca, the 30-year-old fell from the fourth floor of a building in via Di Giuria in Potenzawhere she lived with her boyfriend Antonio Capasso, the only person under investigation for incitement to suicide. The young woman fell naked from the attic of the building and the case has still been solved: the investigations were continued after a request from the Prosecutor’s Office for suicide to be dismissed and after the expert reports highlighted that the woman’s fall was not comparable to a voluntary gesture.

“Since that night we have never had any doubts, Dora did not commit suicide – explained Michela Lagrecasister of the 30-year-old, in an interview with Corriere della Sera -. Our belief has also been strengthened thanks to the evidence emerging from the investigations. Dora was full of life and she never, not even remotely, thought about taking her own life, much less without clothes. What sense would there have been of her?”

According to Michela Lagreca, the relationship with Dora’s then boyfriend “they were non-existent” due to various arguments with the 30-year-old. “We didn’t consider him a suitable man for her. He made her suffer, and as a result we were also hurting. He had previous unresolved traumas and problems that he obsessively poured onto Dora.”

According to the family of the 30-year-old originally from Salerno, that night there would have been an argument between the two whose dynamics were not yet clear. “Only he could explain it to us. I would like him to tell us exactly what happened that night, our family deserves to know. We are living a waking nightmare, all we have left is the search for the truth.”

“We are aware of the commitment of the prosecutor and the carabinieri, a series of investigations have been carried out and we know that it is not simple, but this commitment must not be considered concluded. The investigation started from the assumption that Dora had committed suicide, it is a prejudice which greatly influenced the investigations. We expect truth and logic from the additional investigations.”

Relatives and friends of the 30-year-old have never given up the search for the truth. “We believe she did not choose her destiny alone and we thank our lawyers and consultants who support us every day with seriousness. Everyone knew how much Dora loved life and they work every day to do her justice.”
