“Today a meeting took place between the Prefect of Imperia Dr. Romeo and the Provincial Secretariats of the FAISA-CISAL and UGL FNA trade union organizations for problems relating to the safety of workers and transported users”. The union secretaries wrote it.
The meeting after repeated physical and verbal attacks on staff and passengers
“The criticality of the continuous and repeated verbal and physical attacks to which staff and users are victims was illustrated to the prefect, we explained our solutions:
– Constant presence of law enforcement on buses and on the most at-risk terminals and lines (Sanremo bus station, Largo Nanollo Piana in Imperia, Via XX Settembre, Ponte San Luigi and Gianchetta area in Ventimiglia)
– Closed or cabin driving position.
– Establishment of a periodic steering committee on safety that includes all interested parties (Prefect, Province, Municipalities, local public transport company and trade unions)
His Excellency informed us that following a meeting with the President of the Province Claudio Scajola it was agreed on the constant use of law enforcement on buses starting from the next few days to guarantee the safety of workers and transported users.
The undersigned trade union organizations are satisfied with today’s meeting and thank the availability and commitment of the Prefect of Imperia Dott Romeo and the President of the Province Scajola”.
