Drugs, cell phones and weapons, classic “supply” for prisoners, but this time, from behind bars, someone evidently made a particular request: he wanted a tattoo machine, which he would probably then power using a few batteries and cables. The delivery was destined for the Carinola prison, in the province of Caserta, but this time it was blocked by the Penitentiary Police, who noticed the drone and managed to stop the two men who were operating it while a woman at the wheel of a car was waiting for them and managed to escape.
The system was the one used on a large scale, to supply drugs and weapons and then take them back at a later time.
The latest kidnapping was announced by Tiziana Guacci and Ettore Natalerespectively regional secretary for Campania and local secretary of Carinola for Sappe.
In the package there were drugs (hashish and cocaine), a switchblade and a tattoo machine.
The general secretary of the union, Donato Capece, underlines that this latest episode “confirm all the investigative hypotheses regarding the now well-known phenomenon of illicit trafficking by drones, a phenomenon also favored by the freedom of movement of prisoners following the open custody regime and the critical issues current operations, in which the Penitentiary Police operates, with minimum levels of security”.
