The contribution of multinationals in Lazio – The contribution of multinationals on our territory is absolutely significant: as regards foreign multinationals, in economic terms, the contribution in Lazio is very strong and boasts 24.3% of the turnover produced (our region in Italy is second only to to Lombardy). And it is precisely here that the contribution of Italian multinational groups to the regional economy has the most significant values ​​compared to the other regions of the country: 34% of turnover and 20.7% of added value. Furthermore, in our region, productivity levels are higher for multinationals (116 thousand euros for foreign ones and 112 thousand euros for Italian ones) and the per capita labor cost of the local units of multinationals, both foreign and Italian, exceeds almost everywhere that of domestic businesses (in Lazio 43.8 thousand euros vs 40.4 thousand).

The elements for development – Among the main topics addressed in the meeting, which recorded great agreements between the representatives of our multinationals and the institutions, the strategies of retention and for the attraction of new investments. Central themes are also the potential of human capital and the development of skills as an element for competitiveness, and the actions to be taken to remove bureaucratic obstacles. In conclusion, the Region and Lazio Innova have announced the activation of a task force that will work on defining a strategy to achieve the objectives.
