the plot and cast of the film directed by Mark Mylod with Ralph Fiennes

A culinary film that is tinged with black: Tuesday 14 May at 9.20pm Rai 4 offers the first screening of the film “The Menu”, directed by Mark Mylod and starring Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult. Tyler is a young gourmet ready to share with his companion, Margot, one of the most exclusive experiences that can be found on the market: a dinner prepared by Chef Slowik in his starred restaurant on an exclusive private island.

When dinner begins, Slowik notices something out of place, Margot, who was not part of the guest list communicated to the kitchen. For Slowik everything must be perfect, even the smallest detail, and a real challenge begins between him and the young diner that will lead to surprising results.

“The Menu” builds its story on an intriguing crescendo that reaches its climax with a series of unpredictable twists. The film, premiered at the Rome Film Festival, turns out to be an intelligent and biting satire of the world of starred slow food.
