Insubria student Patrik Roceck gold medal

Patrik Rocek contested the lightweight single competition with the colors of Italy, overcoming opponents from Germany and Slovakia.

His victory is particularly significant as it marks the athlete’s triumphant return after a year’s absence due to a complex surgery. The operation, aimed at removing an osteochondroma from a rib, did not discourage Patrik, who has shown great determination in his rehabilitation journey.

The champion is enrolled in engineering at Insubria

Patrik Rocek, 25 years old, from Erba, is enrolled in the degree course in Engineering for Work and Environmental Safety based in Varese and, despite the many hours of training, he studies with commitment with the aim of graduating and choosing what his path will be. Patrick can face this double challenge, sporting and academic, as a student of the university’s Rowing College, which provides personalized study paths for athletes.
