The CISL FP intervenes on the demedicalisation of 118 stations and, in a note, writes: “About three years have passed since the first demedicalisation of ambulances while the 118 emergency service continues to carry out its functions with directives established over 23 years ago, without taking taking into account the changing needs over time – underlines the coordinator of the health professions of the CISL, Bruno Delli Quadri -. The union believes that a radical reorganization of the 118 territorial emergency service can no longer be postponed in order to guarantee the safety and health of the populations of Molise. In particular, we appeal to the competent authorities to take into consideration a total reorganization of 118, integrating medical vehicles in geographically strategic points to easily reach all the peripheral stations with adequate travel times to guarantee the ‘golden hour’, i.e. the moment in which the The patient’s chance of survival is higher. Furthermore, we suggest the reorganization of the medical emergency service active in many Municipalities, redistributing it geographically and bringing it closer to the ‘India’ stations to guarantee medical visits with any therapy prescriptions in the shortest possible time, pending any hospital admissions”.

In this regard, the CISL FP, the union representing 118 nurses “is immediately available to set up a technical table with the aim of highlighting the critical issues and making the right corrections for the structural reform of the territorial emergency service in a ensure Molise citizens have access to health emergencies in line with ministerial reference standards”.
