Progresso-Ravenna, the ticket case is back. Popular prices, 10 euros: exodus to Bologna

“Given the good collaborative relations between the two clubs, given the probable large turnout of the public, and in order to allow all the fans and supporters of both teams to participate in the event, the price of the entrance ticket will be 10 euros instead of the canonical 15”. With a surprise ‘coup de mano’, Progresso has decided to stop any controversy in advance, granting a ‘popular’ price (or rather, in line with the category and structure that will host the event) for the challenge that Ravenna will have to face face tomorrow at the ‘Biavati’ in Bologna, a venue chosen by the Castel Maggiore club due to the unavailability of their ‘Clara Weisz’ stadium.

In fact, in recent days – after information had been conveyed about a particularly exorbitant price (15 euros in fact) for the Progresso-Ravenna match – the Giallorossi ‘people’ had expressed their disappointment in various ways. After all, many times, in this season (San Marino, for example), as in the previous ones in which Ravenna played in the amateur championships, from Promotion to Serie D, the arrival of the Giallorossi, with their fans in tow, is has often been interpreted as an opportunity to exploit the ‘goose that lays the golden eggs’. The possibility of an exodus of 200-300 Giallorossi fans, intending to reach the Corticella district of Bologna and cheer on the team without entering the sports field, was one of the hypotheses taken into consideration by the supporters themselves.

However, the Via della Lirica club was diligent in informing Progresso of this ‘inconvenience’. The Bolognese association, with a note signed by sporting director Simone Matta, however was keen to point out that “15 euros is the rate normally applied for internal matches organized elsewhere when the ‘Clara Weisz’ of Castel Maggiore is involved in national tournaments and youth internationals, like this weekend, when the glorious and historic Tassi tournament is scheduled.

Among other things, the next home match with Sammaurese will not be played in Castel Maggiore, but in Zola Predosa. On that occasion, the ticket price will be 15 euros, or 3 euros more than the normal home programming, precisely to amortize the costs of renting the pitch.”

All’s well that ends well, but now Ravenna (on the pitch) will have to do their duty, having in practice only one result available, against an opponent engaged in the fight to avoid the playouts, and who is also in good shape, fresh from victories against Victor San Marino and Corticella, and from the ‘narrow’ defeat against league leaders Carpi. Mister Gadda recovers Gobbo from the flu, as well as Rrapaj, Marino and Rossi from suspension. Pavesi and Magnanini are knocked out.
