CASARSA – Casarsa della Delizia opens the doors to the 76th edition of the Wine Festival, with an even more extended calendar from 24 April to 6 May. Official presentation of the program today 12 April in the Friuli room of the Nico Naldini Civic Library of Casarsa della Delizia with speeches by the mayor Claudio Colussi, the president of Pro Casarsa della Delizia Antonio Tesolin, the director of the La Delizia winery Mirko Bellini who brought the greetings of the president of the La Delizia winery Manuel Praturlon while regional councilor Lucia Buna spoke on behalf of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Also speaking were Pietro De Marchi, president of the Pro Loco UNPLI FVG regional committee, Flavia Leonarduzzi, president of the Pier Paolo Pasolini Study Centre, Sabrina Francescutti, president of Coop Casarsa (the director Stefano Cesarin was also present) and vice-president of Confcooperative Pordenone, Ester Pilosio, director of 360FVG cooperative credit bank, Andrea Brait president of SAS Casarsa as well as Maria Teresa Gasparet of Sorsi e Percorsi and Paola Gottardo of Bacco & Demetra.
In the interventions we outlined how fundamental the commitment of the volunteers is for this moment of celebration in which the whole community opens up to welcome, within a framework of valorisation of a regional excellence such as wine and with a rich program for all tastes .
NUMBERS There will be 13 days of celebration, including two weekends and the long weekends of April 25th and May 1st. Over 120 events are scheduled including wine bars, tastings, kiosks, Luna Park, music, street theatre, sports, markets, children’s events, culture, Land art, exhibitions, the Filari di Bolle sparkling wine selection and the Wine March.
All focusing on environmental sustainability (Ecofesta brand) and the valorisation of agri-food products from local supply chains (UNPLI national Quality Festival brand). NEW But above all, this edition will be even more of an opportunity to meet and reflect on the theme of wine and drinking well, with a series of tastings, conferences, book presentations on the wine history of the regional territory and beyond. A real Focus on Wine that is unmissable for wine lovers as well as for those who want to get closer to the world of wine. And also the first events for the centenary of the local SAS Casarsa football team and the national Biathlon agility Dog competition. There will be the return of the charity fishing of the Parish of Casarsa.
STRONGER THAN ADVERSITY About a month ago a fire damaged one of the historic kiosks of the Wine Festival, that of the Vecchie Glorie. The association has not lost heart and will be a regular part of the event having found an alternative venue in record time. A sign of commitment and passion on the part of its volunteers.
INAUGURATION Inaugural event, with the authorities and wineries awarded at the tenth edition of the Filari di Bolle Sparkling Wine Selection, Wednesday 24 April at 5pm in the Council Room at Palazzo Burovich de Zmajevich, via Risorgimento 2.

Stories of Women Saturday 27 April – Council Room at 5pm – Young agri-food professionals tell their stories in dialogue with Maria Teresa Gasparet sommelier of Sips and Paths: Linda Del Ben (of the Del Ben Formaggi company and master taster Onaf); Ketty Gregoris (Macelleria da Loris in Ligugnana di San Vito al Tagliamento); Sara Della Bruna and Irene Gagliazzo (winemakers from the Cason winery in San Vito al Tagliamento). Tastings. The wine of forgotten vines Tuesday 30 April – At Posta 7pm Tasting with Matteo Bellotto and Stefano Trinco. A journey among the varieties of vines that grow in the region but that we forget we have, real jewels to be rediscovered. And also in Amateca tastings of Filari di Bolle sparkling wines together with AIS (and also craft beers), of wines with gastronomic specialties together with ONAV and ONAF cheeses.
KIOSKS Don’t forget the delights of the kiosks managed by local associations: Amateca Amatori central island via XXIV Maggio, Polisportiva Basket via XXIV Maggio; Old Glories via Valvasone; D-Sign Parish Recreation Center; SAS Casarsa Parish recreation center; Libertas Casarsa via XXIV Maggio: La Rossa Pezzata piazza Cavour. Plus the special evenings of the Casarsese Choir at the Osteria Friûl.
LUNA PARK AND LOCAL TRADE The offer of attractions at the Luna Park is always wide, a distinctive feature of the Casarsa della Delizia festival. The managers will offer the traditional day of Ragazzinfesta on 29 April. And furthermore, bars, restaurants and commercial activities in the Casarsese center will give life to numerous proposals during the celebrations including music, shows, performances and tastings.
CITIES OF WINE The Municipality and the Pro Loco of Casarsa della Delizia are part of the Città del Vino Association, established in Siena on 21 March 1987. It is a network of municipalities with a wine-growing vocation and territorial bodies, which operates for their valorization and represents an ideal itinerary between towns and cities that preserve traditions, history and culture of wine.
Through the Wine Festival, Casarsa della Delizia strengthens relations with the other entities belonging to the Coordination of the Wine Cities of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Furthermore, this year the winning sparkling wines of the Filari di Bolle Selection will participate in the Città del Vino International Wine Competition – Wine City Challenge which will take place right in our Friuli Venezia Giulia, on 31 May and 1-2 June in Gorizia which with Nova Gorica will be the capital European Union of Culture 2025.
The Città del Vino regional conference will also be held within the Festival on Sunday 28 April – Council Room at 10.30am. At the same time, the annual meeting of the Wine Cities located in western Friuli: this year Casarsa della Delizia welcomes Sesto al Reghena.
