Frisbee school competitions were held in recent days, promoted and coordinated by the Education Authority of Modena, aimed at students of first and second level comprehensive schools in the provincial territory. The final stages of the competitions took place in Castelfranco Emilia at the Ferrarini stadium, where six teams of boys, girls, cadets and cadets for the first level (middle) schools participated, and five teams of students and juniors for the schools second degree (higher).
For lower secondary schools, the boys and girls, cadets and cadets category was won by the Marconi Comprehensive Institute of Castelfranco Emilia with qualification for the regional phase by the cadet category. As regards the secondary schools, the Liceo Fanti di Carpi won in the male and female pupils categories and the latter also qualified for the regional phase, while the Spallanzani Institute of Castelfranco Emilia won the Junior category.
The regional phase of the tournament will be held in Cesenatico on 7 and 8 May, while the next appointment with the school sports competitions promoted by the Superintendency will be held on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 April at the Calvino and Guarini gyms in Modena, with the provincial tournament of badminton, a sport of Indian origin which consists in hitting a light open conical object called a shuttlecock with a racket.
