Suzuki recently launched its new and much-loved city car on the market. Here are all the details of the model
The city car they are undoubtedly the cars most requested by motorists, especially in Europe and Asia. In fact, there are thousands of small vehicles in circulation, specially designed to move without problems in city traffic and beyond.
This category of car – also referred to in jargon as a small car – is characterized by vehicles with an average length of three meters, equipped with a decidedly inexpensive engine. It is therefore an extremely practical, agile vehicle with very low consumption.
Among the world’s largest city car manufacturers, Suzuki stands out. Recently, the Japanese brand launched the new model of one of its flagship cars which has recorded high sales figures over the years, winning over thousands of motorists all over the world.
Suzuki, here is the new city car
The Japanese car manufacturer has finally revealed the new Suzuki Swift. This is the restyling of one of the most famous models of the Hamamatsu brand. The first series was marketed way back in 1983 and has survived to this day thanks to six different generations.
Swift has achieved – as mentioned – a huge international success, constant over the years. For this reason, the Japanese company has decided to propose it again with an innovative and modern restyling.
The Swift will be offered with two trim levels, with a manual or automatic gearbox and with the possibility of inserting all-wheel drive. So what are its most important characteristics? First of all, the new Swift comes with a length of 3.86 meters and a width of 1.74 meters. The Hybrid engine also manages to deliver 81 horsepower, thanks to which the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 12.5 seconds. Prices will instead be between 22,500 and 24,500 euros.
As regards its marketing, this will start in April 2024 in the United Kingdom, while in Italy it is expected in May. According to industry experts, the new Swift could achieve great results especially in the United Kingdom. The reason is very simple.
In fact, it is estimated that the market segment reserved for small cars has decreased by 28% in that market. In other words, the new Swift could attack it with reasonable chances of success and affirmation.
