“The demagogy continues to remain anchored to the past and not look at all to the future. The title of the meeting on Saturday 6 April already summarizes the themes and tones. ‘Enough servitude’, signed by those parties who were welcomed at the IndEco headquarters in Borgo Montello last May, in the midst of the electoral campaign for the local elections in Latina, to understand the energy conversion of this former landfill and to whom we illustrated those transfers given to the Municipality of Latina for the past servitude (past!) and of which, although according to the city government, they were unaware of the existence”.

“So we learn that there will be a public meeting to say enough to the easements and dream of an Astura park. Maybe we were expecting an invitation, maybe we were expecting an event that is not just a self-referential meeting, of course, open to the public, but with a clear matrix and with an intent that does not serve the interests of the territory but generates mere demagogy, only demagogy, generating confusion between the residents of the villages and the citizens of Latina.
What many still insist on calling a landfill today is now a site of alternative energy production, with the slopes of the hills covered with photovoltaic panels and the tops with latest generation technological systems designed to recover waste gas. From landfill to productive environmental site: the site managed by Ind.eco of Borgo Montello, of the GreenThesis Group, boasts countless international certificates from universities precisely for its policy of being a virtuous example in the green economy. But obviously this example is opposed and demonized at home. Only that we would like to know the arguments supported by facts, so much so that our transparent house has also welcomed and invited everyone, even last September when we organized a meeting in Borgo Le Ferriere on the transformation that took place inside the former landfill now a production site alternative energy, such a virtuous example that on Saturday 6 April Rai2 hosts us in the program reserved for renewable energy entitled ‘Italian green’.
When dealing with public, delicate issues of national interest, environmental protection and health relevance, it would be necessary to have a greater conscience, an intellectual honesty capable of seeking a serious and constructive discussion and not a conflict in order not to lose a hypothetical electoral consensus.
What will the feared servitude hypotheses that will be addressed in this meeting be? Those resulting from the recent and cumbersome as well as superficial and incomplete report of the Lazio Region on the epidemiological study on this portion of the provincial territory? A study that still today causes confusion by merging the IndEco and Ecoambiente sites, that miscalculates the surfaces involved, that makes mistakes with the square meters? who finds it difficult to internalize that those who want the green economy have invested in cutting-edge pipes, sheets and wells and not in talk? that rather than realizing reality, continues to remain anchored to theories that were stuck 10-15 years ago in order to have arguments even if they are stale?
And then, the scarecrow of the landfill is still used, when instead we are talking about sites designed to close the waste cycle in a given provincial territory. It is a national provision even before a regional one. Each territory must be independent in waste management, in the name of the green economy and in the name of its autonomy, without avoiding the criticality of waste production (is there a society that does not produce any?) and above all without acting in a Pilatesque manner by moving the problem towards the poorest countries with the hypocritical Nimby and Banana strategy”.
