Singles are the most penalized.

Furthermore, the price increase made it more difficult for singles and couples with an average incomefind affordable accommodation on the market. In 2019, in Verona, 26.4% of apartments were accessible to a single person with average income, but in 2023 this percentage dropped dramatically to 4.5%. The situation is even more critical for two-room apartmentswhich are the type of accommodation most searched for by those who live alone: only 8.2% were affordable late last year, rcompared to almost 50% in 2019 and 21% in 2022.

Increases also in the province.

In the province of Verona, the average prices of houses currently for sale, they are lower than in the citywith an average cost of 2,138 euros per square meter. There is therefore a 6% price increase compared to the previous year. Also rents have undergone a notable increase in the province, rising to 8.7%, therefore to 9.8 euros per square meter. It has increased recently the interest for the rent, with an increase of 50% in the year, while thesupply decreased by 26.8%.
