The Minister announced to DS Avv. Teresa Orlando that she will be contacted by her staff to discuss the curriculum proposals in more detail.

The headmaster of the Varrone high school in Cassino, lawyer. Teresa Orlando, and prof. Roberto Folcarelli were received two days ago by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara to present the proposals of the Liceo Varrone of Cassino.

Proposals that were deliberated in the executive council – where all the components of the school, Ds, teachers, Ata, students and parents are represented – relating to the second two-year period and last year of the new Made in Italy high school curriculum recently formed in those schools Italian high schools where economic and social high school classes are active.

After the great success achieved by the Liceo Varrone of Cassino with the formation of this new direction, somewhat in contrast with other schools in other Regions, the Minister agreed to meet the school director to listen to the proposals of the Varrone high school, in person of the school director, relating to the Made in Italy curriculum.

Study of law and economics as subjects (marketing, management, international markets, economics and finance, commercial, international and labor law, communication sciences and techniques) for the basic training of the new managers of tomorrow. All with a high school approach that combines knowledge of humanistic subjects with legal and economic training and knowledge at B1 and B2 level of two foreign languages, also safeguarding the competition classes currently present in the institutes where the economic and social high school is active.

Minister Valditara congratulated the school director, underlining that the Liceo Varrone di Cassino was able to fully grasp the rationale of this new direction and listened with interest to the proposals submitted.

“I was happy and excited for this meeting – stated the school director Orlando. As a lawyer and former teacher of law and economics, I have always hoped for the establishment in Italy of a high school that aimed to train future managers or professionals in the sector of law and economics by combining humanistic studies with economic and legal knowledge.

I also explained to the Minister what, in my opinion, prevented this new direction from being welcomed in other high schools with the enthusiasm it would have deserved: having mortified some competitive classes involved in the previous economic and social high school and the lack, ab initio, of a clear curriculum for the three-year period, of which, however, objectives, knowledge, skills and abilities were already clear because they were contained in the law establishing the new direction”.
