Street Fighter 6: the roster has no more secrets, here are all the characters of the most anticipated fighting game of the year

There are 18 characters on the Street Fighter VI roster and they are all beautifully characterized and diversified: in short, it will not be easy to choose who to bring into the World Warrior ring.

In this regard, we have decided to list all the fighters available at launch and beyond: as per tradition, several DLCs are planned which will introduce other beloved characters from the franchise.

After many years of waiting, the Street Fighter series is finally here back with a new chapter that has thrilled the specialized critics (find our review here) and which has all it takes to win the hearts of longtime fans and, above all, also of new players. Unlike the disappointing Street Fighter V, Capcom’s latest fighting game offers different story contents since launch, new mechanics ready to refresh the combat system and a roster of 18 fighters.

Since its launch, Street Fighter VI has offered one of the best rosters in the saga, but that doesn’t mean that there won’t be new additions in the future: let’s get ready for the arrival of at least four other fighters, who will join the roster during 2023 and 2024, of course via DLC. For such a game, the roster of characters can be the key to successand for this reason we have decided to list all the protagonists of Capcom’s colorful fighting game and we are sure that at least one of them will be able to win the hearts of gamers.

  • Blanka: First appearing in Street Fighter II, Blanka is a wild man raised in the Brazilian jungle, possessing the ability to generate electricity and an unusual green skin. Despite the wild appearance, Blanka is a kind and docile person, however, when she gets angry, Blanka acts like a wild predator and viciously attacks her opponents.
  • cammy: First appearing in Super Street Fighter II, Cammy is a former assassin turned special agent for the British government. A strong, decisive and determined woman, with a strong sense of justice, extremely polite, friendly, respectful and enthusiastic towards those she knows and loves,
  • Chun Li: She is the tritagonist and main female protagonist of the Street Fighter series, originally debuting in Street Fighter II. The series’ first female fighter, Chun Li is an expert martial artist and Interpol agent who relentlessly seeks revenge for the death of her father at the hands of M. Bison. Chun-Li is an enterprising and hard-working agent with a strong sense of justice, expert and courageous, she is often the voice of reason.
  • Dee Jay: First appearing in Super Street Fighter II, Dee Jay is a Jamaican kickboxer who has made great strides in the Street Fighter world, not only as a fighter, but also as a world-renowned musician and recording artist. You will rarely see Dee Jay without a smile.
  • Dhalsim: First appearing in Street Fighter II, Dhalsim is a yoga master who possesses the ability to stretch his body and summon fire. A rather stoic fighter, serious, self-disciplined, humble and also very strict when he serves. Being a pacifist, he never harms a person more than necessary, nor kills his opponents, sparing even the most evil ones like M. Bison. An extremely selfless man, who fights above all for the poor and downtrodden, and is constantly doing his best to raise funds to donate to his poverty-stricken people.
  • E. Honda: Appearing for the first time in Street Fighter II, Honda is a Sumo champion who is very attached to the tradition of his people. Despite his apparent lack of agility, Honda is a very powerful sumo master. He takes both the art of sumo very seriously, considering it a sacred martial art like any other. In SFVI, E. Honda became a successful chef: Since many people wanted to eat his Chanko stew, he decided to build his own restaurant in Metro City.
  • Guile: is one of the protagonists of the Street Fighter series, appearing for the first time in Street Fighter II. Guile is a colonel in the United States Air Force, whose goal is to destroy the criminal organization Shadaloo and at the same time investigate the death of his best friend. A stoic man at heart, calm in appearance and seemingly emotionless, but she is nothing more than a mask that he uses to hide his inner torments.
  • Jamie: One of the new faces of Street Fighter VI, Jamie is a master dancer and self-appointed executioner of Chinatown, Jamie is modeled on Yun and Yang, the Twin Dragons. An expert dancer, he defends the city with his alcoholic and unpredictable martial arts, putting justice and friendship above all.
  • Juri: First appearing in Super Street Fighter IV, Juri is a brutal South Korean taekwondo martial artist who takes particular pleasure in inflicting pain on others. Juri fights only for the thrill of battle, her drive is vengeful, selfish and ruthless.
  • Ken: is the second protagonist of the Street Fighter series, first appearing in the original Street Fighter. Like his best friend and longtime rival Ryu, Ken’s goal is to test his might against many different fighters and strive to get stronger.
  • Kimberly: another of the new faces of Street Fighter 6! Kimberly, an unexpected pupil of Guy, 39th in the succession of Bushinryu, is a young fighter in love with 90s pop culture. You had a normal childhood and then rediscovered yourself as a true martial arts prodigy. After graduating early, she decides to become a ninja.
  • Lily: Descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe, Lily is another new SFVI character who communicates with nature spirits, relying on their guidance as she travels the world. Don’t judge her by her appearances: her short stature holds titanic power.
  • Luke: first appeared in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Luke is a big boy who decided to join the Special Forces to fight terrorism, a choice taken after his beloved father sacrificed his life to save civilians. However, realizing that the service hasn’t given him the satisfaction he desired, he decides to follow his own path in competitive combat.
  • But not: One of the new characters in Street Fighter VI, Manon is a French judoka fighter, but also a successful ballet dancer and model. Idealistic, snobbish and haughty, Manon loves to fight against strong opponents.
  • Marisa: Italian Marisa, another of the new faces of the franchise, is a passionate and optimistic warrior who lives for battle. Despite her intimidating stature and her aggressive techniques, Marisa follows a code of sportsmanship and praises her opponents after the bout. She also has an eye for art and jewelry, and even paints her nails for her dates.
  • Ryu: is the main protagonist of the series, who first appeared in the original Street Fighter. Ryu is an expert martial artist with a goal to become as strong as possible. Continuously training, gifted with a polite and sincere spirit, Ryu travels the world in search of worthy opponents.
  • Zangief: First appearing in Street Fighter II, Zangief is a Russian national hero who fights for the glory of his country. In SFVI, he is dedicated to the physical improvement and teaching of his students.
