Novitec dedicated itself in particular to the front part of the Ferrari 296, creating a surprising facelift. The stock bumper has been updated with a splitter on the lip and another for the large air intake, which refines the look and reduces front axle lift. The distinctive duckbill rear spoiler increases the downforce of the rear axle at high speeds. Furthermore, Novitec has installed another diffuser and a cover for the rear camera as an aesthetic complement to this aerodynamic improvement component. These are also carbon fiber products.

THE carbon panels and the side mirror caps visually enhance the flanks of the Spider. The tuning also includes the side air intake covers at the rear of the vehicle. They direct the airflow even more precisely to the intakes behind the doors to supply air to cool the combustion engine. NF 10 alloy wheels with five delicate twin spokes they were created to enhance the look of the open-top Ferrari by Novitec. These are produced exclusively by high-end American manufacturer Vossen, using cutting-edge forging and machining technologies.

Novitec’s technical improvements

In addition to taking care of the aesthetics of the Ferrari 296 GTS by lowering the ride height by around 35 millimetres, the Novitec sport springs make the handling even more eloquent. These components are also part of the hydraulic front axle height adjustment, which the company offers to facilitate handling bumps or ramps in parking lots. This system allows the front to be raised by approximately 40 millimetres by pressing a button in the cockpit. The vehicle returns to production level with a second press of the button or automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h.

Furthermore, Novitec has seen fit to give additional power to the six-cylinder twin-turbo engine of the 296 GTS. The intake side uses flow-optimized turbo intakes. Likewise optimized are the high-performance exhaust systems, made of stainless steel or, optionally, a particularly light high-tech alloy also used in Formula 1 racing. All variants are equipped with thermal insulation to reduce temperatures in the engine compartment. Furthermore, the lightweight version is available with additional 999 gold plating. All exhaust systems can be ordered with actively controlled butterfly valves integrated into the exhaust allowing the exhaust note to be varied from inside the passenger compartment.

In combination with the 100-cell sports catalysts, which are also thermally insulated, the maximum output of the internal combustion engine in this configuration increases by 28 kW / 38 hp. The MGU-K electric motor of the hybrid propulsion system remains unchanged. The result is one system power of 638 kW / 868 hp.
