There are various factions among researchers and experts in the sector, and consensus is not unanimous on what consequences AI will have for the human race. The alarmist predictions of Yampolskiy – and many other experts in the sector – must therefore be weighed carefully, before giving him excessive credit, at least according to the majority of his illustrious colleagues.
