At the Future Games Show Summer Showcase in June, the developers of Pixelated Milk showed off SacriFirea action RPG in pixel art which is inspired by the classics of the 90s genre, in development for PC. We saw a gameplay trailer of the game, which you can find in the player below.

In the game we will explore the underground city of Antioch and the spiritual paradise of Erebus within a universe that includes both fantasy and sci-fi elements. We will take on the role of the young warrior priest Ezekiel Ridan, who finds himself fighting for his faith when his world is threatened by a war between gods and demons.

What we know about SacriFire

SacriFire presents a hybrid combat system, which mixes the mechanics of turn-based battles with real-time ones, staging the action with a mix of retro graphics and cutting-edge digital effects. We will be able to choose between various combat disciplines, create weapons with the materials obtained and tackle dungeons of increasing difficulty.

One of the flagships of the production is the soundtrack composed by G4F and Motoi Sakuraba, famous composer for Dark Souls, various Mario games and Star Ocean. SacriFire is currently in development for PC, with plans to release console versions as well. At the moment the game does not yet have a release date.
