Developed by Camoflaj, a team already authoring Marvel’s Iron Man VRthe title will be tied to Rocksteady’s Arkhamverse.
The new video released for tonight’s event unfortunately didn’t show who knows what, so much so that to really see the game in action we’ll have to wait a while longer.
Even the official description of the game unfortunately does not reveal who knows what significant details:
«Gotham City is in danger and you are the only one who can save it. Batman: Arkham Shadow, coming late 2024, only on Meta Quest 3.”
On the occasion of the announcement, it was made known by the developers that: «After years of working in the shadows, Camouflaj is proud to announce its next game, Batman: Arkham Shadow, which is coming exclusively to Meta Quest 3 later this year.»
It’s still: «[Batman: Arkham Shadow] is being developed to become the definitive VR experience on Meta Quest 3, recreating that authentic Arkham feeling, but in a way that leverages the unique sense of immersion that only VR can offer”.
Let’s remember that the saga was born with Batman Arkham Asylumfollowed by Batman Arkham City And Batman Arkham Knightas well as the prequel Batman Arkham Origins.
Since then, we have also had Batman: Arkham VR (released in 2016), in addition to the recent one Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguestill part of the Arkhamverse.
Who knows, maybe in the future there might be another single-player like we like, rather than live-service or VR games.
