YouTube announced the arrival of Playables, last November. It is a catalog of free games which can be accessed via the platform both on PC what up mobile. The section dedicated to Playables, in fact, will be available on the YouTube home. Until now the latter was only accessible to Premium usersbut now the company has announced that the function will come extended to everyone. The announcement was recently published in a post on official blog of YouTube.
At the moment the Playables catalog is only available in some Villages. Among the latter there are the United KingdomL’Australia and the Canada. We will have to wait for the next updates to arrive from the company to find out when the catalog will arrive Europe and also in Italy. In this regard, YouTube was keen to specify that its team is already working to extend Playables to an ever-increasing number of users.
YouTube Playables arrives: how to access the games?
Taking advantage of this option is very simple. In fact, all you need to do is go to the home page
of YouTube, as anticipated, and select the Playables item located in the “Explore”. Once here it will be possible select a game.
YouTube’s Playables catalog currently boasts over 75 games. Among these we find Tomb of the Mask, Angry Birds Showdown, Trivia Crack, Cut the Rope and Words of Wonders. This, however, is only the beginning. According to YouTube, in fact, the catalog will soon be expanded with a series of new proposals. It is conceivable that the titles arriving in the next few months will be selected along the lines of those already available currently available.
YouTube’s decision to include a section for games comes at a time when this type of intervention is proving to be particularly widespread.
