The launch of Homeworld 3 is now upon us and for the occasion the developers of Blackbird Interactive have published a gameplay trailer which offers an overview of the characteristics and dynamics of the game.
As mentioned, the trailer offers an overview of the game, starting from the basics, such as the collection of resources in space necessary to build our mothership and the balance of power between the various types of units available to our fleet, arriving at more gameplay dynamics advanced, such as combat formations for use in battle and advanced controls for commanding large groups of ships at once.
Homeworld 3 will be available next week
We remind you that Homeworld 3 is scheduled for release on May 13th on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with buyers of the Fig Backer Edition or Fleet Command Edition starting to play in Early Access yesterday.
If you don’t know it, as you may have guessed from the video above, Homeworld 3 is a real-time strategy game that continues the series born in 1999, where players take control of a space fleet and will have to exploit their skill and cunning to emerge victorious in intense space battles. The series is also appreciated from a narrative point of view and just last month we also saw a trailer that offers an overview of the story and events of this third chapter.
This new chapter also proposes a three-player cooperative mode, who will have to face a random series of combat challenges, creating an experience halfway between the series’ dynamic strategic leaderboards and roguelike elements. There is also a PvP mode, with 1v1 battles, free-for-all or team battles.
