These updateswhile designed to enhance the experience user, they are not always welcomed with enthusiasm. This is precisely the case with the latest update, which triggered a wave of negative reactions among users, confused by some recent choices of design.

The frequency with which WhatsApp is updated makes the platform always at the forefront, but each change can have a significant impact on the usability and perception of the app. Changes, especially visual ones, are often the most obvious and the ones most likely to elicit reactions.

A novelty welcomed with amazement and confusion

It is precisely on one of these latest changes that the complaints were concentrated of users, a change that is actually rather marginal, but which seems to have much wider resonance. In recent months, WhatsApp has introduced a number of adjustments to its design, including a new color scheme that saw green become predominantreplacing the traditional blue.

Although the changes are intended to improve the user experience, many users have expressed disappointment, especially with the new shade of green – computer-idea.it

On platforms like X, decidedly critical comments have emerged, with users describing the new shade of green as “the worst one ever seen. The complaining posts, in many cases, have reached thousands of shares. This color change is just the tip of the iceberg. WhatsApp has announced a “new updated look“, which includes changes to spaces, colors, icons and much more.

These changes, according to the company, aim to make the app more modern, accessible and easy to use. Among the new features, we find the introduction of dark modemore white in light mode, renewed icons and buttons, more space in some sections of the app and theinsertion of the WhatsApp logo in the chats tab. Despite the intent to improve the user experience, reaction to the new color palette has been mostly negative.

The green, now more saturated and in line with WhatsApp’s “brand color”, it should be tasked with helping users focus on the most important elements of the screen. In reality, however, many find the change too abrupt and distant from the sober and professional appearance they were used to.

The company warned that these updates will be rolled out gradually and that “everyone who uses WhatsApp will eventually receive this update“, without the possibility of exclusion. This prospect has therefore generated further discontent among users, who would prefer to have the possibility to choose whether or not to adopt the new design.
