Looking at the gigantic mass of the Sun Princess from the bottom of the quay of one of the many piers in Barcelona, the miraculous and ingenious principle of Archimedes immediately comes to mind: «A body immersed in a fluid receives from it an equal push from the bottom upwards to the weight of the fluid displaced by it”. The Sun Princess, in fact, «is the largest ship built so far in Italy and the first cruise ship built by Fincantieri powered by liquefied gas, considered one of the cleanest fossil fuels as it reduces greenhouse gas emissions and almost completely eliminates particulate matter ». Delivered at the end of February from the Monfalcone factory, she has already begun to sail the warm waters of the Mediterranean and then crossed all the largest seas. But let’s go back inside this floating citadel: a real tourist destination that transports travelers to other tourist destinations, because inside it has everything you could want: 24 restaurants, 7 swimming pools and more than 44 entertainment facilities of every type. Among the various new spaces included in the transatlantic “The Dome”, a perfect meeting place to relax on the terraces inspired by Santorini and topped by a gigantic glass dome or the heart of the ship, the “Piazza”, an agora with comfortable seats which allow you to enjoy the view of the landscapes, the sea or the horizon at any time of the day. All seasoned with a high level of technology that pervades not only the beating heart that pushes the 177,500 tons of tonnage to break the waves of the seas of the globe, but also and above all available to the lucky passengers who can spend a few days at its inside: the jewel in the crown of this multimedia and multisensory experience is the Princess Theatre, whose stage has nothing to envy of its rivals on the mainland.
