Stop updating to One UI 6.1 for Galaxy S22: what’s happening

Since yesterday Samsung has started the release of the new one One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI for the series Galaxy S21 And Galaxy S22 (as well as for Z Fold 3), but within a few hours the stop came.

According to Samsung’s community forum, the update for i Galaxy S22 it was in fact put on hold due to a serious illness bugs (by the way, do you know how to update a Galaxy?).

The lock screen bug on the Galaxy S22 (and not only)

But what is happening? Not even 24 hours from update release to One UI 6.1, up X news appeared that Samsung has it withdrawn for the Galaxy S22 due to a bug.

From what has been learned, in some cases subsequently of the update my phone lock screen stopped working. In others, even more unfortunate, it was precisely the touch screen to no longer respond, with the need to make a restoration of the factory settings to exit the situation.

The update started from South Korea and it does not appear to have involved other countries. According to the Samsung community forum (see a screenshot translated from Korean below), the bug mainly affects i Galaxy S22, devices for which the update has been interrupted, but to a lesser extent also the Galaxy S21 (who instead are still receiving the One UI 6.1).

No problem though Galaxy Z Flip 4 And Z Fold 4while i. are not mentioned Galaxy Z Fold 3which evidently do not have the mentioned bug.

Recall that a month ago Samsung had released One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S23and even then there had been problems with a bug at the sensor of the footprints and to recharge, more slow than normal and which caused abnormal overheating.

At this point it seems that we will have to wait longer than expected before the owners of Galaxy S22 will be able to receive the new functions Galaxy AI.

We will update you when Samsung resumes releasing the update.
