Something seems to be moving on the front Max Payne 1 & 2 Remakebut the wait still seems long, considering that Remedy has reported that the full production of the games will only begin this summerwith a budget that was expanded by Rockstar Games.

According to what the team reported during a recent financial conference, the plan is to reach the “full production” during the second fiscal quarter of the company, or at the end of the summer, considering the timing set by Remedy.

However, these are large-caliber projects on the part of the team, which aims to put a large amount of developers and resources on Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, thanks also to the expanded budget supported entirely by Rockstar Games, as previously reported.

High level productions

From what we know, the remakes have a similar budget to the one allocated for Alan Wake 2, so we can expect works truly done with all the trappings of high-profile triple-A titles in full Remedy style, waiting to see something more at regard.

The management of the franchise has been under the control of Rockstar Games for years, but the two companies have reached an agreement for the creation of the remakes, which will be entirely controlled by Remedy as regards the creative part as well as the actual development.

The idea is to reach a workforce of 100 internal developers all working on Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, but with the possibility of expanding the workforce via outsourcing, to also reach 200 developers working on the remake operations in question.
