New patch for Sony Playstation 5 with Sony updating several features of its flagship console. Let’s see together what the contents of the latest update of April 2024 are!
Updating your console is of fundamental importance because it allows the user to have access to all of its most recent features, without considering the enormous importance of no longer having to deal with bugs and problems of various kinds. Manufacturers cyclically release updates in case of partially modifying the user experience, adding expected features or preventing the console from turning off following the user’s bizarre choice in one direction or the other.
With the 24.03-09.20.00 update of Playstation 5, Sony has brought a small breath of fresh air to users of its flagship platform, without reinventing the wheel. The official changelog is easily accessible on the official Sony website but we also report it here for completeness.
What’s in the Playstation 5 update?
Some features considered interesting by those who make full use of the Playstation 5 have been touched upon: in fact, we are talking about assistance for games and, above all, remote playback (i.e. the possibility of playing Playstation 5 titles with devices such as smartphones or Tablet).
Here is the complete list of updates:
- Game Support has been expanded with the addition of Community Game Help features.
- In Game Support, you’ll see tooltips in supported games Community game guide which indicates that the tip was generated from other players’ gameplay videos.
- You can participate in the Community Gameplay Guide by allowing your gameplay video to be automatically captured and added to the feature after review.
To participate, go to Settings > Captures and transmissions > Catches > Automatic captures > Community game guidethen select Participate. You can cancel your registration at any time.
- In Remote Play, if you see a persistent “Remote Play Connected” message during Remote Play, you can now hide it on the game screen. Go to Settings > System > Remote play is active Hide Remote Play connection status.
- We have improved the performance and stability of the system software.
- We have improved the messages and the usability of some screens.
Nothing revolutionary, therefore, but the right balance between the user’s quality of life and little gems that will surely make the most dispassionate players happy.
In the meantime, still calm from Sony, despite the avalanche of leaks they essentially have confirmed the arrival of a Playstation 5 pro, i.e. a mid gen console that will have to take advantage of new upscaling technologies made in Sony to improve the appearance of video games played on the platform.
