V2C Trydan: charging is always smarter

The Spanish company V2C is attracting attention in Italy with its innovative electric car charging systems. Among these Trydan, a wallbox that integrates balanced and optimized management of domestic energy flows.

The sector of electric mobility is changing rapidly and, with it, the demand for smarter and more efficient charging solutionsas close as possible to the needs of modern e-drivers.

Among the companies working to make charging technology up to the task required is V2Ca rapidly expanding Spanish company, which attracts the attention of the Italian market with its range of Latest generation e-Chargersfocusing, as is logical, on innovation.

Trydan, the intelligent wallbox

V2C, which we met personally at the last Key-Energy in Rimini, is focusing especially on home chargingwith the innovative wallbox Trydanwhich brings together many of the innovations present today in modern charging systems for electric cars.

We are therefore talking not about a simple charger, but about a device “intelligent” whose distinctive feature is the ability to integrate with domestic energy flows to maximize savings.

When called upon, Trydan adapts to the availability of energy present in the home, exploiting, when possible, renewable sources such as photovoltaic.

Energy balancing and renewables

Trydan is able to “draw” energy for charging in different ways, also using 100% solar energy. Six solar panels are generating a large amount of energy, for example, Trydan is able to detect this energy surplus and make the most of it for charging the car, minimizing or completely eliminating the use of the meter’s electricity grid.

Likewise, on days of lower solar production, Trydan automatically adjusts its charge by combining solar energy with that of the electricity grid. A balance is therefore created between the charging needs and the energy needs of the home which is useful for maximize the use of energyavoiding power overloads.

This “intelligent” adaptation ability is made possible thanks to dynamic power control, included in the charger. A control that Trydan manages wirelessly, thanks to the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity with which it integrates with solar meters and inverters.

You control everything remotely via the App

Ease of charging operations, total management control And unlimited connectivity these are just some of the peculiarities studied by V2C for the Trydan, which, as expected from a modern wallbox, is able to communicate with the user even remotely.

Everything can be configured via theV2C Cloud application (available on smartphones and computers), to have continuous control of the charger even when connected to a WiFi network other than Trydan’s. From the previously illustrated power modes to time programming and changing the charging intensity, the application offers a wide range of customizable options.

Time programming allows you, for example, to set predefined charging times for take advantage of the cheapest electricity rates. Furthermore, via the App you can view all the statistics of the recharges, to know in real time the duration, power, energy and cost of each of them.

360 degree connection

Another interesting element of “communication” between Trydan, the house and the user is its ability to integrate with some home automation systems such as Alexa, Google Home or Home Assistant. In this way you have the possibility to control the wallbox directly with your voice, receiving real-time information on charging.

The V2C e-Charger also features a Open API and free to allow developers and tech enthusiasts to easily integrate it into theirs home automation system.

Finally, the technology is innovative V2C SmartLockwhich allows Trydan to automatically lock/unlock when it detects the proximity of a device such as a Smartwatch, a Fit Watch or even the electric car itself.

Trydan, competitive price

With a plan international expansion well defined, V2C is launching Trydan on the Italian market at a competitive price.

Taking into account all the technology mentioned, Trydan is available starting from a price of 780 euros (VAT included), an amount which may however vary based on the power of the chosen charger (access the store here).

Trydan variants are compatible with all Type 2 electric and plug-in hybrid car models.
