Update April 19th 4.31pm: apparently, the rumor relating to the arrival of MediEvil 2 Remake in May at a PlayStation Showcase it was revealed to be fake.
The same alleged playtester named “Orangee”, from whom the rumor regarding the new Sir Daniel remake comes, clarified that he had simply put forward a hypothesis, and nothing more (via Reddit).
In any case, since the author of the rumor is rather ambiguous in his statements, nothing excludes that there could in any case be a twist. We’ll see, even if for now the news remains denied.

MediEvil it is one of the series most loved by PlayStation fans, although it only has two official chapters (excluding remakes).
The first chapter also returned a few years ago on PS4, with a remake (which you can find on Amazon) which still made fans happy.
This, not to mention that just recently it was also surprisingly added to the free games for April on PlayStation Plus Premium MediEvilthe great classic for PS1.

The alleged playtester and member of Discord”Orangee”, which in the past leaked correct information regarding the projects of Gravity Rush – including details on the next film based on the series – has in fact shared that a remake of MediEvil 2 has been in development at Other Ocean Interactive since 2021 and that its release is scheduled for May 2024.
As with the previous title, the remake of MediEvil 2 it will likely release on both PS4 and PS5, with the latter receiving further improvements over the previous generation version.
But not only that: it seems that Sony Interactive Entertainment intends to announce – and release with a shadow drop – the return of Sir Daniel Fortesque during the next PlayStation Showcase (or State of Play), which is rumored to take place in May 2024.
During a recent episode of Giant Bomb’s Bombcast, host Jeff Grubb, known for his sources within the gaming industry, said he had heard about a PlayStation event or presentation taking place next month, in May 2024, and which will most likely have the remake of as its central game Silent Hill 2.
