Heritage by Stellantis celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the Abarth brand with a temporary exhibition, set up inside the Heritage Hub, which retraces the salient stages of the brand through some of its most famous cars, and the presentation of the ‘Abarth Classiche 1300 OT’ project ‘ embodied in the 1:3 scale style model exhibited at the celebratory exhibition. Specifically, the temporary exhibition is made up of 12 cars placed at the entrance to the museum complex and another 26 cars scattered around the Heritage Hub, some less frequented by visitors as they are far from the spotlight of the thematic areas of the museum. In detail, the 12 cars in the front row come from private collectors and from the collection owned by Stellantis: from the first 500 that Carlo Abarth developed, conquering six speed and endurance records on the Monza circuit in 1958, passing through the legendary Abarth 1000 of the Sixty, up to the Abarth 500e with Poison Blue livery and the brand new Abarth 695 75° Anniversario, which pays homage to the history of the Scorpion and the famous 1.4 T-Jet engine, from whose displacement (1,368 cc.) the limited edition derives to 1,368 exclusive examples. Also included in the exhibition are models such as the 750 Record Aero, designed by the young designer Franco Scaglione, as well as the 1000 Formulino which was driven directly by Carlo Abarth to achieve the company’s 100th record. The spotlight is also on the 131 Abarth, winner of 3 Group 4 World Rally Championships, and the brutal 037, the last 2-wheel drive car to win the World Rally Championship, in 1983, ahead of competitors with all-wheel drive. There is also space for some absolute rarities such as the elegant 2400 Coupé Allemano, Carlo Abarth’s personal car in the early 1960s, and the powerful Fiat 131 Supermirafiori “2000/TC Volumetrico” with Abarth tuning that the lawyer Giovanni Agnelli drove in his daily journeys.
