It’s July 1st and several players are therefore officially saying goodbye to the Roma. From now on, in fact, they are no longer part of the Roma squad Leonardo Spinazzola e Rui Patricio, both of which expired without the club having renewed their contracts. The Portuguese goalkeeper has already greeted the fans on Instagramafter 3 seasons in the Capital, while the Italian winger arrived in the Capital 5 years ago (the announcement of his purchase was on 1 July 2019).
LOANS ALSO HELP – It doesn’t end here. In fact, the players who arrived on loan are also saying goodbye, with the exception of Angelino, who was bought a month ago. The loans of Renato Sancheswhich will not leave any major regrets, of Romelu Lukakuwho Florent Ghisolfi will have to be good at replacing, Diego Llorente (his return is not ruled out), of Dean HuijsenOf Rasmus Kristensen and of Sardar Azmounwho will return to Bayer Leverkusen.
Obviously apart from Lukaku and, in part, Spinazzola and Llorente will not be fundamental losses for the club which, on the contrary, will be able to use the sum saved to strengthen the squad to be made available to Daniele De Rossi. The club’s strategy is clear: enough over 30s on loan or on free transfers, with heavy salaries, and space for young players owned, who can become a resource for the club in the coming years.
