Juventus’ strong interest in Khéphren Thuram is bouncing ever more intensely in Italy. How are the negotiations with Nice for his renewal going?
“There is no negotiation for his renewal, in reality. It is understood that Thuram will leave this summer or, in the worst case scenario, be released for free next season, but Nice want to sell him in the coming months.”
What is the amount that could convince Nice to sell Khéphren?
“I think that for a sum between 20-25 million euros Nice would be very welcome, but this year his performance has dropped and therefore they could accept even a lower sum.”
You were telling me about his performance, what happened?
“In Farioli’s game he had to defend a lot, then he got injured last winter and this had an impact a bit. Let’s say that a box-to-box player like him wasn’t made for that type of football, but it must also be said that he wasn’t the best in the last step or in the implementation phase”.
Could he become a top player in Turin?
“For me, yes, he still remains a player with very high potential. He could confirm it at Juve with a coach who would be able to exploit his box-to-box qualities.”
Juventus has many players on the market such as McKennie, Arthur, Kean, Milik, Kostic. In your opinion, could Nice consider the idea of an exchange with these players?
“I don’t think so because they are players with high wages and Nice is trying to reduce their wages.”
