Young, smiling, and, above all, happy to be in Sicily and to return to play at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour – Futures. They are the two German athletes Sarah Schneider and Margareta Kozuch, present at the international tournament which stopped in Messina where they will remain until Sunday 23 June. “It’s the first time here in the city and I’m happy to be here – they tell MessinaToday – We loved the monuments and the food is wonderful too.” What intrigued the two young volleyball players was above all the setting in which the courts were set up. “It’s very nice to play in the square – they say again – We were excited for the first match we played played after a two-year break, but it was very nice to start the season in Italy.”

The stay in Sicily was an opportunity to get to know the city of the Strait. “We arrived here two days earlier and we admired both the square and the impressive Cathedral – they say again – Playing in this setting makes everything wonderful and also the pitch they built down here is very professional, an Italian rarity that perhaps had been created many years ago only in Milan”. The people, the places, the air, the warmth, these are the elements that fascinated the young girls. “Italy has a different atmosphere – they conclude – Even in Germany we played once under a cathedral but it was different”.
