THE CARREER – Armoni Brooks played at McNeill High School near Austin, Texas, before enrolling at Houston University under Coach Kelvin Sampson. For the Cougars, he played three years. In the second he scored 9.3 points per game on 41.9% three-point shooting; in the third year, the only one in the quintet, he scored 13.4 points per game with 6.9 rebounds and 39.0% three-point shooting. In 2019, he declared for the NBA draft but was not selected. He signed with the Atlanta Hawks but after being cut he played for their G-League affiliate (the College Park Skyhawks). The following year he played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, and then made his NBA debut in Houston. In the space of three seasons, he played in three different teams (after the Rockets, Toronto and Brooklyn) with 84 appearances on the field and 6.6 points per game. Last season after 10 games with Brooklyn, he played in the G-League first on Long Island and then in Ontario. In the G-League, he has 116 regular season appearances and 30 in the Showcase with 13.6 points per game and 38.4% from three on 7.4 attempts per game.



NOTES – In 2017/18 he was the best sixth man in the AAC conference playing in Houston. In 2018/19, he was included in the second team of the conference and in the first team of the AAC Tournament.
