Biella Rugby relies on the expert Carlo Orlandi. Former coach of the youth national teams, he will coach the yellow-green forwards.

Raised among the ranks of Lyons, he arrived at professional rugby in 1984. Until 2001 he made 273 appearances in the top division and 13 in European cups. He wore the shirts of Amatori Milano, the team with which he won the scudetto in 1995, Rovigo and Piacenza. He also made 44 appearances for the Italian national team between 1991 and 2000, the year in which he played in the first edition of the 6 Nations tournament, collecting 2 caps.

Since 2001 he has been coach of the Italy Under19 team with which he participated in the World Cup, while in 2002/2003 he participated in the World Cup leading the Under21 team. From 2003 to 2011 he was assistant coach of the senior national team, forward specialist, and collaborated with the coaches Kirwan, Barbizier, Mallet and Brunel. From 2017 to 2020 he was assistant coach, forward specialist, for Zebre, a Pro14 team, while from 2020 to 2022 he was head coach of Lyons Piacenza, a Top10 team. In 2021 he was elected councilor of the Italian Rugby Federation in technical quota.
