Roma are working assiduously to provide their coach with adequate reinforcements for the right wing.
The atmosphere in Rome seems to have changed once again compared to the recent past. Not only will we start the season with a new coach and with De Rossi who this time will be called upon to lead the team starting from the summer retreat, therefore, but a big change has already arrived within the corporate structure as well.
For a few days, in fact, the new sporting director, the Frenchman Ghisolfi, has arrived in town taken from Nice, and he will lead the summer transfer market session, trying to finally make Roma a team that can aspire to a place in the Champions League.
Ghisolfi has already had a meeting with coach De Rossi in which the main points and departments to be strengthened within the current squad were highlighted. Among departing players, who will not be redeemed and will leave after the loan and those destined to remain, a sort of refoundation will have to be done.
There are two roles in which there will be a lot of work to do. The advanced department, left orphaned by Lukaku and Azmoun and with Dybala and Abraham still in the balance; but above all that relating to the low defensive players. In this last role the team will change completely compared to the season just ended.
Rome market, the scenarios on the flanks
Kristensen will return to England after a year on loan in Rome; Spinazzola is at the end of his contract and there shouldn’t be an agreement for its renewal, while Celik and Karsdorp no longer seem to be part of the club’s and coach’s plans. The only survivor from the last months of the season will be the Spaniard Angelino.
And it is precisely for this reason that Roma is moving above all to look for right wingers who can suit De Rossi. Three profiles in particular are very popular: Bellanova from Torino, Tiago Santos from Lille and Doué from Rennes who has an excellent relationship with Ghisolfi.
Mercato, Roma on Henrique Silva for the right wing
In the last few hours, however, another low cost hypothesis is gaining ground. Roma’s new right back could, in fact, be Henrique Silva who has just ended his experience at Lyon after three seasons due to a contract expiring on June 30th.
The Brazilian born in 1994 is now free to find another team and could guarantee an important boost on Roma’s right wing who has always had a certain familiarity with Brazilian right-backs, having had two of the strongest in the role in the team in the last twenty years: Cafu and Maicon.
