CAREER – Born on January 5, 1998 in Mesa (Ariz.), Kuhse took his first steps in basketball at Mountain View High School in Mesa. After playing both basketball and baseball his freshman year, he decides to pursue his career exclusively in basketball. In his junior and senior seasons, he was ranked among the second-best teams in the state, and in his senior year he recorded 21 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals per game.

Having finished her high school experience, the new Bertram Derthona point guard begins her college career wearing the Saint Mary’s Gaels jersey. Her role in her team becomes increasingly important in the following years, until she becomes a key player in 2020/21. In that year, shortened by the Covid-19 pandemic, Kushe averaged over 12 points in 35 minutes of play.

He remains with the Gaels in 2021/22, where his high-level performances make him, at the end of the season, the WCC Sixth Man of the Year and allow him to be included in the WCC first team.

After playing the 2022 Summer League with the Orlando Magic, with which he produced over 17 points per match, Tommy was signed by the Austin Spurs, the G League team of the San Antonio Spurs. In March 2023, he moved to Germany for his first experience overseas: he ended the year with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, with which he produced 9 points and 2.3 assists per game.

In 2023/24, Kushe remains in Germany signing with Rasta Vechta, with whom he has a great season. His 17.9 points average, combined with 3.9 rebounds and 5.8 assists per outing make him one of the best players in the league in terms of performance. Also thanks to his performances, the team ended the regular season in sixth place, playing the playoffs which ended with elimination in the first round at the hands of Chemnitz. Now Kuhse arrives in Italy, at Bertram Derthona, to start a new chapter in his career.
