“At present there is still an undeniable budget difference”

In this interview, the sporting director talks about the goals of the team for next season
Chieri will start again next season with the important reconfirmation of coach Bregoli on the bench, what are the ambitions?
“We have decided to continue the good things done in the last two years. We still have a two-year contract with Giulio and being able to count on this long-lasting relationship is very important for planning our future. Over the years we have raised the bar and we want to continue to do so.”
You closed the roster recently, where does Chieri want to go?
“Last year on the field we showed that we were close to the best four in the championship. At present there is still an undeniable budget difference (…). However, I must say that from a technical point of view we are trying to stay close to the high areas. We are aware that reconfirming is not easy, but we aimed to create a mix between experienced and younger players by aiming for longer contracts to create a programme. What we certainly went looking for were talented athletes with great potential.”
